Technical
VW Beetle RSi
This car was built by VW as a race car to compete originally in the German Cup. Between 2001 - 2005 in competed in the VW Racing Cup in the Europcar livery prepared by VW Racing.
We purchased the car at the end of the 2005 season to compete in the NSSCC organised by Darlington & District Motor Club.
Following an extensive winter programme which included the fitting of a new engine and a KW suspension setup we are hoping for significant gains on track:
Engine R32 (3.2 Litre) + Rotrex Supercharger - producing 370bhp, with live mapping of the Emerald K3 ecu done by Andy at Storm Developments in Reading.
Single piece stainless exhaust manifold and a bespoke race exhaust upgraded from the original 2.5 inch to a new 3 inch system designed and made by Stu and Ally at AAS in Newburn.
Close ratio straight cut gearbox with high performance limited slip diff
Sachs Racing paddle clutch and solid one piece flywheel
Alcon 355mm front discs with Performance Friction carbon metallic pads
KW Two pack adjustable race suspension
OZ Race wheels shod with Toyo 235/40 x 18 R888's (Pirelli wets).
