This was a day that seemed to sum up the year to date. Very mixed weather with showers on and off all day. The race was very wet and I couldn't understand the severe lack of grip even allowing for the wet track. There seemed to be oil everywhere you looked; the car seemed to be nearly undrivable so after a couple of laps with people spinning in every direction I came into the pits, cursing whoever was laying down so much oil! Five minutes later this irritation turned into embarrasment when, on walking round the car, it became immediately obvious who the oily culprit really was! the whole offside of the car was positively dripping with the stuff - it turns out the timing belt had rubbed straight through the the oil cooler hose. Sorry guys!
